Jackie Johnson, Owner
Jackie has worked with animals professionally for 16 years. Before founding District Pet Care in 2016, Jackie worked as an Animal Caretaker and Adoption Counselor at the MSPCA, where she cared for thousands of animals each year. She has also worked in the veterinary field both as a Receptionist and Veterinary Technician.
The safety of your pet and home is important to us. That’s why each team member is thoroughly screened and background checked, so you know your home is in good hands. They also receive the same training for CPR/Pet and First Aid certification, making sure your furbaby receives the same level of care no matter who visits them.
Catherine Nugent
A cat owner her whole life, Catherine has donated food and time to local animal shelters from the Florida Keys to D.C. She lived on her parents small farm and helped to raise cows and a variety of free range chickens. Currently she has one sassy black cat that she is training to take walks on a leash.
Ryan Bruno
Ryan grew up in Baltimore and moved to the D.C. area to work on Capitol Hill. He is a lifelong lover of pets and grew up with two dogs and a cat. He enjoys spending his weekends fulfilling the desire to spend more time with cats and dogs.
Gloria Flores
Gloria is a DC Native with a lifelong love of cats! She lives with her young son and three cats of her own. She enjoys filling her time between school and caring for her son with as much feline company as she can!
Samantha Kaplan
Samantha is a teacher by trade and in DC continuing her education and training. She is cat-mom to two sweet boys and enjoys spending her time giving other kitties the love and care she looks for when she travels.
Allison Fitzgerald
Allison is a Maryland native who primarily works as a theater actress all over the DMV. She also teaches during the week at DC Gymboree. She was raised surrounded by animals, and now has a cat of her own, Zula.
Samiksha Shetty
Samiksha is a longtime animal lover who has cared for both cats and dogs. She has a very sassy calico cat named Jude. Samiksha is currently a graduate student and looks forward to caring for the wonderful pets of DPC.
Brittany Johnson
Brittany grew up with all sorts of animals from cats and dogs to reptiles, birds, and horses! She previously worked in the Hospitality field before transitioning to a career in caring for animals and nannying.
